(1). Define the concept of ' Human Resource Management' and discuss briefly the functions and responsibility of the Personnel Department.

(2). Explain the difference between ' Recruitment and Selection'. What are the various steps involved in the selection of employees in a modern organization? Discuss briefly.

(3). Discuss the importance of training to employees in an industrial organization. What are the advantages of the ' On-the job Training?

(4). Define ' Marketing ' and distinguish it from 'Selling'. What are the various functions that a marketing manager is expected to perform? Explain briefly.

(5). Explain the concept of the product life cycle and describe the characteristic, features of its different phases.

(6). What role does advertising play in sales promotion? Name some of the important techniques of advertising and discuss briefly the merits and demerits of any two of them.

(7). Explain the objectives of financial management. What are the functions of a finance manager?

(8). Discuss briefly any two of the following:-
       (a) Fixed capital and working capital
       (b) Time rate system of ways payment and fierce rate system of ways payment
       (c) Advertising and salesmanship
       (d) Job evaluation and merit rating

(9). What are the various factors that affects level of productivity in an industrial organization?Discuss how productivity can be increased in Indian Industries.
