1. (a) Discuss the prototyping model, what is the effect of designing of prototyping on the overall cost of the software project.
    (b) Explain two types of Software prototyping and differential between  throwaway and evolutionary prototyping.

2. What do you understand by software development lifecycle in SDLC ? Why it is important  to a lifecycle model while developing  a large software product. 

3. What are the application of software and characteristic of software. What is software  process and software crisis.

4. Explain ER diagram, data dictionaries, attributes and organisation of SRS.

5. (a) What do you mean by functional testing and explain it detail.
    (b) What is Structural testing? Illustrate the  important structural testing techniques.

6. (a) What are the characteristic of a real time system? Why real time system usually have to be implemental using concurrent process.
    (b) Illustrate with aid of a appropriate example how to design a real time maintaining and control system.

7. (a) What are CASE tools? Explain the role of CASE tools in software development  process.
    (b) What are Categories of software risks? Give an overview about risk management.

8. What are the characteristics of a good user interface design? Describe how UID may be developed for a data acquisitions system.

    (a) PERT and CPM for scheduling
    (b) RMMP
    (c) Software maintenance cost
    (d) WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) technique in project control.
