1. What do you understand by Multithreading? Explain the thread life cycle with suitable diagram.

2. Explain thread priorities with example. Discuss the need of thread synchronization.

3. What is layout Manager? Explain different layout classes with suitable example.

4. Explain the following AWT components with suitable example- (a) Check box (b) text field
    (c) menu.

5. What is Delegation Event Model? Explain mouse click and key press event with example.

6. Write a program in Java which creates three buttons labeled "Yes", "No" and "Undecided". Each time one is pressed, a message is displayed that reports which button has been pressed.

7. What is meant by Stream? Explain various types of stream classes with suitable example.

8. Write a Java program that will count the number of characteristics and words in a given file.

9. (a) What is JDBC? Write the steps to establish a connectivity with database using JDBC.
    (b) Assume that there is a table named as student in ms-access with the fields (std_id, std_name, course, city, ph_no). Write a java program to display the record of this table using JDBC.
